We’ve built the ����logo��� and Stripe integration to make it simple for you to get paid for your digital products. With that idea in mind, we’re rolling out some improvements to the ����logo��� checkout to provide you the ability to comply with payment providers requirements. Of course, we’re also making sure it’s flexible and attuned to what works for you. 

The improvements to ����logo��� checkout 

Whenever you shop online, you’ll often have the option to for future purchases. ����logo��� also offers this to make it easy for your customers to purchase your digital products in the future. 

Different businesses and regions have requirements for how you can store your customers’ payment information. Basically, your customers must consent to having their card details saved against their profiles for future payments. 

To help ����logo��� Heroes stay compliant with those requirements, we’ve added a few improvements to the ����logo��� checkout. Your checkouts will now have the following options:

• Opted-out by default: Your members can choose to store their payment information by selecting the opt-in box during checkout. This is the recommendation from Kajabi. 
• Opted-in by default: The opt-in checkbox will be on by default when your members purchase. Note: This will automatically store your members’ payment information on a secure server unless the members unchecks the box at checkout. Please review all rules and regulations regarding your business. 
• Disabled: The opt-in checkbox will be hidden and members cannot store their payment information.

You can change your card storage options by logging into your ����logo��� Account, going to Settings, and clicking Checkout Settings.

The benefits for ����logo��� Heroes 

First and foremost, these improvements apply you with the ability to comply with the payment providers requirements and other regulations — which is always a good idea.

We know that flexibility is important to you. That’s why we’ve provided multiple options for you. Just choose the right option for your business, on your terms.

Your existing subscriptions and multi-pay checkouts are the same experience as before but with that added sense of security the padlock icon brings.

Additionally, the checkboxes will only appear after your customer enters their credit card information. This removes friction from your customers and presents them with the storage option at the optimal time to gain consent. 

These improvements aim to help more of your customers to store their payment information with you. That will lead to more purchases and ultimately, more revenue for your business.  

When to expect these checkout improvements 

This change will be available in some accounts today, and we’ll continue to roll it out to all accounts over the next several weeks. Even if this change is not yet active in your account, we’re spreading the word now so that you have plenty of time to decide which option makes the most sense for your checkout.

FAQs

What setting will sites be enabled as the default? At rollout, sites will be set  our recommended state, which requires their members to opt into having their payment information stored. ����logo��� customers have the option to change the setting to automatically opt their members into payment information storage, or not display the checkbox at all.

Will upsells work if the customer chooses not to save their payment information? Yes. When a customer is checking out, their payment information will be available for all upsells and order bumps that are related to the order.

‍If they don’t save their payment information, and they are buying a subscription offer, will the subscription still work? Yes. Payment information is automatically saved for subscriptions and multiple payment offers.

Word to the wise, rules and regulations about payment information storage are different in various regions of the world. Please ensure you are in compliance with your area before making any changes to these settings.
