A small picture fame, ceramic or silver with a picture of the bride/groom as children was placed on the
table as a favor. One for a couple and one for single quests. The thank you note sent after the wedding
included a picture of the bride and groom on their wedding day and fit the frame so that you could put it
over the picture of them as children. This idea worked well as the couple had made a collage of pictures
which included their childhood etc. and put it on an easel in the foyer of the reception area. Perhaps a
small double frame would also be a good idea so you could keep each picture displayed. With the ability
to crop and reproduce your own photos the bride/groom as children is not as complicated or expensive as
it seems. I think our old family pictures have become much more treasured now. Collages and family
pictures are being displayed more frequently at funerals, weddings and family occasions. Louis and

ideas about photos:
Mechelle used different ideas for
two separate celebrations:
I am having a private wedding and formal reception at a later date. For my private wedding, I am
presenting close family and friends with miniature bottles of apple cider dressed to look like champagne.
The label has our names, wedding date and the slogan " A New Beginning. "For the reception, I wanted
something that would be practical and people would actually use. I see these little bells, bubbles, little
champagne glasses and they are cute. However, you really can't use them for anything other than to sit on
a little display of all the weddings you've attended. For my reception, I choose the ribbon book marks, with
our names, wedding date and a love poem. The book mark also thanks all our guest for sharing this
special day. I also choose little sewing kits. The kits actually look like an elongated match book until you
open it and find a sewing kit. Both the book mark and the sewing kits are the same color with the same
design printed on them. In addition, couples spends a lot on money on decorations. My table decoration
will simply consist of a wine glass with a little water and a floating candle. However, who would need 75
wine glasses after the reception, so I decided to give them away as favors. I simply purchased ribbon with
our names and wedding date and will wrap it around the stem of the glass and voila! a favor. P.S., the wine
glasses were purchased from a restaurant going out of business for .50 each. Thanks for letting me share

She adorned one with a personalized ribbon to demonstrate an easy to make memento for your special
day. Endless ideas abound in these areas. If you're special occasion is being celebrated in a tourist type
area, plan to visit well ahead of your event to take in the area and to shop for the perfect remembrance
for your guests. You'll find a perfect favor to bestow upon your guests!
A staffer shares some ideas:

A Regal Ribbons' staffer recently celebrated a birthday in the Santa Ynez Valley in California.
Know for its wineries and its breathtaking beauty, this area is a wonderful choice for any
celebration. Our celebrator took a winery tour on a lovely spring Saturday. The events being
celebrated at wineries they visited included birthdays, showers, retirements parties and lavish
weddings. We're always fascinated by the favors used for these events, and it's hard not to let
your creative mind wander in such a wonderful setting. With so many events planned in places
like this our celebrator just had to suggest some of the great finds she encountered while visiting
the local shops in this area. Nearly all the wineries they toured offered gourmet goodies -
chocolate covered blueberries, unique bottled spreads and olive oils, and luscious dessert
wines. Any of these items would make a wonderful favor for your guests. The local gift shops
had souvenirs that were irresistible choices for ornament type favors. Our celebrator selected
an ornament at a Christmas Shop in the town of Solvang, one of the prime locales for the filming
of the movie Sideways, to demonstrate the possibilities with finds from this type of shop. Her
selection, an ornament that had been hand painted with the town name and a winery theme.
A DIY favor that will have you raiding your recycle bucket!
Here's a recipe for a party favor with recycled water bottles. Take a close
look at these cuties! We've used the bottoms from our used water bottles.
We carefully cut the bottoms off making sure to smooth out any jagged
edges. You can bake cute daisy shaped cookies and decorate them to
match your event theme for a unique party favor. We decided to buy ours
already made and found these darling cookies at Gianna's. They're
delicious. We cut a circle of wax paper and put it around the back of the
cookie to prevent any grease transfer.
We used a cello favor bag to enclose our cookie favor, but you could use a
pre-cut tulle circle, too. You'd want to use a 16" circle to fit around it
comfortably. Finish it off with a lovely ribbon, and you're done!
Hope you enjoy the favor idea! Hugs and favors!
