A well presented Pashmina shawl makes a thoughtful favor! Their presentation can add decorative flair to your reception venue before the chill of the day sets in and provide a bit of warmth once the sun sets. We love these simply elegant favors. To make this favor, Pashminas shawls were selected in colors to complement the wedding theme colors. The shawls can be found in bulk online, and party rental facilities also have them available as rental items. We ordered ours online through Amazon. They had a great selection of colors and the prices were very reasonable too.
For one presentation, we folded the Pashminas and rolled them up for easy arrangement on a tray. The Pashminas were then tied and finished with a bow made with a length of our 4″ Wide Satin Ribbon – for extra large bows. Since we decided to use these shawls as a reception decoration, we also added a hand-made paper flower, but you could also trim these with fresh or silk flowers or other embellishments. We found large hammered aluminum trays that were perfect containers for the shawls. They added lovely color in a convenient display.
If table space is a problem, you could also place the shawls over the back of your guests’ chairs. We also added the decorative bow in this presentation. This addition to your chairs is a great way to bring your theme color to any setting. If your shawls are rentals, you may want to attach a note to the shawls instructing your guests to return them to a collection basket at the end of your event. Be sure that the basket is conveniently situated near the exit your guests will use.
